The Open Throat Router Plane with Frog is a premium woodworking hand tool designed for accurately refining dados, rabbets, tenons, grooves, and shallow mortises. Its open throat design provides an unobstructed view of the cutting edge, allowing greater precision when working close to edges, shoulders, and confined areas.
Manufactured from seasoned, closed-grain ductile cast iron, this router plane delivers excellent stability, durability, and vibration resistance for fine woodworking applications.
Equipped with a 3/8” (10mm) High-Speed Steel (HSS) cutter hardened to HRC 55–60, the square blade prevents rotation during use, ensuring consistent cutting performance. The micro-adjust depth control allows for accurate and repeatable depth settings, making it ideal for furniture making, cabinet work, and fine joinery.
